Tents of Hope

Pittsburgh is participating in the Tents of Hope. Various local groups listed below have bought and painted tents that will be displayed throughout the city. The tents will also serve as advocacy and information centers about the genocide in Darfur. The project will culminate in a bus trip to Washington D.C where the tents will be displayed on the National Mall.  The tents will then be sent to Darfur to be used as auxilliary school structures in the refugee camps.
